SurPhase FLOW

No two fertilizers are alike

Caking and dusting problems are caused by a number of internal and external factors that individually – and in combination – can vary greatly from product to product and manufacturing facility to manufacturing facility. The chemistry of the product, the structure and process by which the granule is created, and the storage and handling conditions the fertilizer experiences are just a few of the variable factors that can strongly impact caking and dusting.

No “one-size solution”

With an extensive history in the industry, our experience has shown that a “one-size-fits-all” approach is generally not effective in resolving caking and dusting issues. SCF’s team of scientists and engineers work collaboratively with our customers, researching their substrate, processes, and equipment to formulate and develop the appropriate unique coating chemistry to resolve caking and dust control issues.

This customization does not cost you more or require extended time or new equipment on your side – it’s just how we do business. We work with your team to optimize a product and a process that meets your specific needs – saving you time, money, and most importantly – providing you a differentiated product.

SurPhase RELEASE

Every fertilizer is different

Controlled Release performance is affected by many factors, including:

– Granule size, shape and structure
– Chemical composition of the fertilizer granule
– Moisture levels and hygroscopic properties of the granule
– Storage conditions – time, temperature and pressure
– And many more internal and external factors

Because of this, there is no “one-size-fits-all” product for your specific controlled release fertilizer. That’s why SCF tailors each product to their customers’ unique granular fertilizer composition. This customization does not cost you more or require extended time or new equipment on your side – it’s just how we do business. We work with your team to optimize a product and a process that meets your specific needs – saving you time, money, and most importantly – providing you a differentiated product.

SurPhase CLEAN Product Line

Surface chemistry is what we do. We got our start as an R&D center focused on the development and testing of highly functional detergent additives. We remain an active player in these markets today and offer a specialized line of highly functional surfactants and polymers designed to improve cleaning, solubility, foaming, wetting, surface protection, and emulsification. Our products are especially effective in tough, stressed environments where commodity surfactants and polymers tend to fail. Formulators can count on the SurPhase CLEAN products to provide the functionality that they need, even in challenging high chlorine, high pH, highly caustic, and even strongly acidic products.

SurPhase CLEAN 29

Water soluble anionic dispersing agent and lubricant for hydrophobic materials, also used in scouring, bleaching and dyeing.  A high foaming surfactant that is stable in hard water, acid and alkali conditions.

SurPhase CLEAN 30

Water dispersible nonionic surfactant that is 100% active. To be used as emulsifier and lubricant in environments where heat stability is required.

SurPhase CLEAN 32

Water soluble anionic low foaming alkali stable surfactant suitable for industrial spray cleaners and automatic floor cleaners.

SurPhase CLEAN 45

Water soluble anionic surfactant stable in caustic, chlorine and peroxide containing formulations.  A high-foam surfactant that is ideal for alkaline spray foam cleaning formulations.

SurPhase CLEAN 113

Water soluble anionic surfactant/hydrotrope that is stable in chlorine, alkaline and high electrolyte containing formulations.  A low foaming surfactant and hydrotrope that can replace SXS in alkaline cleaners.

SurPhase CLEAN 122

Water soluble nonionic rapid-wetting surfactant that is stable in acidic conditions.  A low foaming surfactant suitable for clean-in-place formulations that require superior cleaning properties.

SurPhase CLEAN 125

A water soluble amphoteric surfactant that is compatible with nonionic, anionic and cationic components in acidic, basic and built formulations.  A high foaming, high detersive system that can be engineered to create microemulsions of d-Limonene, biodiesel, methyl-esters and other common cleaning solvents.

SurPhase CLEAN 127

Water soluble anionic surfactant compatible in acidic formulations.  A high foaming rapidly wetting surfactant that can be used in metal cleaners, oil additives, degreasers and solvent based cleaners.

SurPhase CLEAN 419

Water soluble anionic surfactant that is 100% active. A low foam material that is an effective oil in water emulsifier and can be used where rapid wetting is required in high temperature environments.

SurPhase CLEAN 421

Water soluble anionic surfactant that is alkaline stable and based on a phosphate ester with high acid number.  Can be utilized in formulations as lubricant, coupling agent, defoamer, corrosion inhibitor, dispersing agent and anti-static agent.

SurPhase CLEAN 502

Water dispersible nonionic surfactant with rapid wetting and a low cloud point.  A low foam surfactant that can be readily hydrotroped into cleaning formulations to create clear, low surface tension blends.

SurPhase CLEAN 512

Water dispersible nonionic surfactant with strongly detersive properties.  A non-foaming surfactant that can be formulated into aggressive cleaning formulations to remove oily soils on hard surfaces.

SurPhase CLEAN 827

Water soluble nonionic surfactant that is 100% active.  Designed to be used in low foam rapidly wetting systems.

SurPhase CLEAN 877

Water soluble anionic biobased surfactant/hydrotrope that is stable in alkaline environments.  A low foam material that is stable in chlorine containing formulations.

SurPhase GEL

The feel and “cut” of an asphalt mastic or coating is critical to roofers. A product that is too thick – or too thin – can cause performance issues, as well as complaints and product returns.

The SurPhase GEL line of patented, highly-efficient surfactants are designed to provide stable and consistent rheology in your asphalt cutback-clay systems.

SurPhase SCAVENGE

H2S levels in asphalt are particularly high, sometimes over 20,000 ppm. In addition, required high process temperatures lead to thermal cracking, which can cause H2S formation in-situ during asphalt production and storage.

The SurPhase SCAVENGE line of patented hydrogen sulfide scavengers and slow release nitrates provide cost-effective ways of controlling offensive – and highly dangerous – H2S odors.
