SCF’s laboratory is equipped to synthesize surfactants and functional polymers, formulate for wide-ranging applications, and test and evaluate products in the industries where SCF is active.

In 2000 SCF relocated to its newly constructed 6200 sq. ft. facility which provides expanded capabilities for synthesis of surfactants and functional polymers, formulation for wide-ranging applications, and testing and evaluation of products in the industries where SCF is active.

This facility includes our Technology Development Center which is designed and equipped to develop processes through pilot scale.  While the initial projects involve fertilizer coating applications, future plans include expanding to other processes in response to our client’s needs. SCF personnel work closely with its client’s scientists, engineers, and production staff to assure the smooth transition to new products and processes.
Surface Chemists of Florida, Inc., maintains a large up-to-date collection of samples of commercial surfactants, functional polymers, and other raw materials used in the technologies in which it is active. We also maintain an extensive library of trade literature, scientific and trade journals, books, and market data. SCF utilizes on-line data bases and research services to monitor developments and trends in a broad range of technologies.
