SCF Presentations at United Soybean Board Technical Advisory Panel
“Exploration of Industrial Uses of Modified Soy Proteins”
“Plant Growth Products from Soybean Meal”
SCF’s technical director, Alice Hudson, presented updates on the United Soybean Board funded research projects
- Exploration of Industrial Uses of Modified Soy Proteins
- Plant Growth Products from Soybean Meal
At the United Soybean Board Technical Advisory Panel meeting in St. Louis on March 5, 2019.
The objectives of these projects are to develop and market products and technologies based on the economical and available byproduct defatted soybean meal into industrial and agricultural markets. This work extends SCF’s previous research and development efforts that resulted in the patented technology “Laundry Additives From Modified Crude Protein Sources”, US 9,856,436, into other industrial areas. The development effort in the agricultural area recognizes and exploits the suitability of the chemistry and physical properties of the soybean meal for numerous applications in plant nutrition products.
